About Us

Pointe by Pointe Dance Studio has been operating since 2003.  The studio is located in South Pasadena, behind The Oak Tree Restaurant on Fair Oaks Avenue. Owner and teacher Elena Behtereva previously taught for many years at the dance facility off Mission Avenue in South Pasadena.

Elena was born in Kirov, Russia. At a young age, she was classically trained in schools of dance and Ballet.  Her travels included most of Eastern Europe specializing in Rhythmic gymnastics competitions.
​
She left Russia and immigrated to the United States in 1992.  She became a United States citizen in 1994.  Elena has been teaching dance classes since 1998.  She is married and has 3 sons.
